The Rose of Treason

The Rose of Treason
In 1943, a group of university students in Germany started a resistance group aimed at bringing down Hitler and the Nazi regime. Their story is one of breathtaking courage, selflessness, and utter faith in what is right.
In between the November 9th performances, First Stage, The Nathan and Esther Pelz Holocaust Education Resource Center, and Jewish Museum Milwaukee will hold a panel discussion that explores themes within “Rose of Treason” including moral courage, youth resistance, and standing up to antisemitism. This panel discussion will be in commemoration of Kristallnacht, a turning point in the Holocaust when the Nazis and ordinary citizens unleashed a coordinated nationwide attack on Jews in Nazi Germany.
The panel will be held in Goodman MainStage Hall at the Milwaukee Youth Art Center from 2:45-3:15 PM. Ticket holders to both November 9th performances are welcome to attend.
