Fall Masterworks “Violins of Hope”
Music has the power to tell stories that words alone cannot express. Join the Racine Symphony Orchestra for a profound and moving performance featuring Violins of Hope: Wisconsin, presented by Milwaukee Youth Symphony Orchestra — a collection of instruments once played by Jewish musicians during the Holocaust. Restored and brought back to life, these violins now serve as powerful symbols of remembrance and unity.
This special evening will feature Respighi’s Ancient Airs and Dances No. 3 and Max Richter’s evocative The Four Seasons Recomposed, performed by violin soloist Alexander Mandl. These works bridge past and present, honoring the voices of history while inspiring hope for the future.
The Violins of Hope initiative extends far beyond the stage, inviting communities to reflect on the lessons of the past and engage in meaningful conversations about the power of music to heal and transform. We invite you to be part of this unforgettable experience.
This event is sponsored in part by the Racine Community Foundation, SC Johnson Foundation, UPAF, Wisconsin Arts Board, and the RAMAC Foundation.
Ticket prices are $45.
