SUMMARY:Echoes of “The Savior:” Eugene Drucker Performance and Reading/Book Signing
DESCRIPTION:Echoes of “The Savior”Eugene Drucker: Performance\, Reading\, and Book Signing \nExperience an extraordinary evening of music\, storytelling\, and reflection with Grammy Award–winning violinist Eugene Drucker\, co-founder of the legendary Emerson String Quartet. In this powerful program\, Drucker performs Bach’s iconic Chaconne — a work he has carried to concert stages around the world — and reads select passages from his acclaimed novel The Savior\, weaving together music and narrative to illuminate the story of a violinist confronting a profound moral dilemma in Nazi Germany. The evening concludes with a talkback and audience Q&A\, offering a rare opportunity to hear Drucker reflect on performing with historic instruments and on music’s enduring power to confront history\, offer solace\, and inspire hope. \nA reception with refreshments and light snacks\, hosted by Congregation Shalom\, will follow the program. Boswell Books will be the official bookseller for the evening; arrive early to purchase copies of The Savior and stay afterward for a book signing. \nPresented in partnership with Violins of Hope–Wisconsin\, Milwaukee Youth Symphony Orchestra (MYSO)\, and Frankly Music. \n \nGET TICKETS\n \n\nhttps://violinsofhopewisconsin.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/Eugene-Drucker-virtual-meeting-concert-promotion-record.mp4

SUMMARY:Strings of Memory and Hope: Jewish Lessons from Violins of Hope: Music as Resistance – L’dor V’dor – Passing the Song to the Next Generation (4 of 4 series)
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a powerful adult education series inspired by Violins of Hope – Wisconsin\, presented by Milwaukee Youth Symphony Orchestra (MYSO)\, the extraordinary collection of restored instruments that belonged to Jewish musicians before and during the Holocaust. Together we’ll reflect on how music and memory shape who we are\, and who we must become. \n💡 While each program can stand alone\, the sessions are designed as a connected journey — participants are encouraged to attend the entire series to experience the full depth and meaning. \n\nEvent Schedule\nSession 1: Memory in a Minor Key – Why We Remember\nOctober 21 | 7:00 PM📍 Congregation Sinai (8223 N Port Washington Rd\, Milwaukee\, WI 53217) \n\nSession 2: Music as Resistance – Faith\, Art\, and Defiance in the Holocaust\nOctober 28 | 7:00 PM📍 Congregation Emanu-El B’ne Jeshurun (2020 W Brown Deer Rd\, River Hills\, WI 53217) \n\nSession 3: Restoring What Was Broken – Healing Through Music and Memory\nNovember 6 | 7:00 PM📍 Congregation Beth Israel Ner Tamid (6880 N Green Bay Ave\, Milwaukee\, WI 53209) \n\nSession 4: L’dor V’dor – Passing the Song to the Next Generation\nNovember 11 | 7:00 PM📍 Congregation Shalom (7630 N Santa Monica Blvd\, Milwaukee\, WI 53217) \n\n✨ Don’t miss this opportunity to learn\, reflect\, and be inspired by the stories\, music\, and enduring legacy of the Violins of Hope.
