In this powerful program\, Drucker performs Bach’s iconic Chaconne — a work he has carried to concert stages around the world — and reads select passages from his acclaimed novel The Savior\, weaving together music and narrative to illuminate the story of a violinist confronting a profound moral dilemma in Nazi Germany. The evening concludes with a talkback and audience Q&A\, offering a rare opportunity to hear Drucker reflect on performing with historic instruments and on music’s enduring power to confront history\, offer solace\, and inspire hope. \nA reception with refreshments and light snacks\, hosted by Congregation Shalom\, will follow the program.
