SUMMARY:Our Beloved Community: featuring Violins of Hope
DESCRIPTION:Our Beloved Community: featuring Violins of Hope \nJoin us for a day of special music and profound remembrance\, as the powerful story of the Violins of Hope comes to life. In partnership with Violins of Hope – Wisconsin\, presented by the Milwaukee Youth Symphony Orchestra\, these free public events at Immanuel Presbyterian Church honor the enduring human spirit through music and history. \nThe day’s journey begins at 10:00 a.m. with a worship service where the historic violins will be featured. Following the service\, we invite you to an educational hour in the Upper Room\, where we will explore the legacy of the Violins of Hope against the backdrop of the Holocaust. \nLater\, at 3:00 p.m.\, regional musicians will present a special chamber music concert. This performance will highlight the violins and share more about the legacy and powerful human rights witness that these Violins of Hope instruments represent. \nEach of these offerings is free and open to the public. They are a testament to the values of Immanuel Presbyterian Church—a progressive congregation committed to ecumenism\, social justice\, global peace\, and our “beloved community.” \nFor more details\, please visit our webpage or call 414-276-4757.

SUMMARY:Remembrance and Hope!
DESCRIPTION:The Philomusica String Quartet\, resident at Wisconsin Lutheran College\, performs Remembrance and Hope! — a concert of reflection and remembrance. This program brings together Violins of Hope: Wisconsin\, presented by Milwaukee Youth Symphony Orchestra\, and composers whose lives and legacies intersect with the Jewish experience and the historical memory of the Holocaust. Through music\, we bear witness not only to profound loss\, but also to the enduring power of artistic expression in the face of oppression and antisemitism. \nLocation: Wisconsin Lutheran College – Center for Arts and Performance – Schwann Hall \nGET TICKETS
